Join us for an outdoor afternoon with good food, some friendly competition, networking with colleagues, and more.
Schedule
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Competitor Setup
Competing teams may arrive and set up booths beginning at 2:00 PM.
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Chili Cook-Off & Voting
Tasting and voting will be open to all attendees. Sample each team’s chili and submit your scorecard. Judging closes at 5:15 PM.
5:30 PM | Final Announcements & Awards
Winners will be announced.
6:00 PM | Event Concludes
Attendance and Participation
Attendees will check in, receive a scorecard, and begin tasting.
There is no set path or schedule to follow. Move at your own pace, sample each entry, and submit your scorecard when complete.
The event will be held outdoors with adequate space for team setup and attendee flow. Bring everyone out for some sun, games, buffet, dessert, and drinks.
Event Format
- All attendees will have the opportunity to try chili from each team
- Scorecards will be provided at check-in
- Attendees will rate each entry as they move through the event
- Scorecards are submitted and tallied at the conclusion
- The team with the highest-ranked chili is announced the winner
Competing Teams
Think you have the best chili? Prove it.
Register as a competing team and put your chili up against the rest. You can enter as an individual, as a company team, or partner up. However you approach it, each registration is limited to one pot of chili.
This is intended to be easy to participate in and manageable for your team.
Each team will be provided:
- 2 tables
- 2 chairs
- Canopy tent
- Team signage
- 2 specialty aprons
- Small serving cups
- Utensils and napkins
- Electricity (crockpots or similar warming devices required)
Team responsibilities:
- Prepare chili in advance and bring it in a crockpot or similar electric warming device (slow cooker, electric roaster, etc.)
- Arrive early to set up and bring chili to serving temperature
- Submit a team name in advance for signage
- Serve samples to attendees during the event
